If you have ever blocked out half a day for an Oxford Street Primark run, or packed an extra suitcase for a London trip, you don’t have to do that anymore. Primark is finally in the Middle East. Kuwait, to be exact. And they didn’t come as a luxury shop in the Avenues mall, they came as they are. Affordable and trend-driven.
Since Primark has no online presence, they need help from a company in the Middle East that already understands the region. That’s where the Alshaya Group comes in. An organization that knows what people in the Middle East like, how they shop, and what kind of marketing works here.
Eoin Tinge, the CEO of Primark, explained that with Alshaya’s strong trust in their regional market and Primark’s unique offer, they are well into an exciting chapter of growth.
John Hadden, the Alshaya Group CEO, noted how intensively the teams have worked since the partnership was announced in September 2024 to bring Primark to their home market first, and choosing Kuwait as the launchpad was deliberate. The partnership allows Primark to scale quickly while keeping its prices low, even in a different region.
What You Will Actually Find in Primark’s Kuwait Store.
The store is big enough to make you lose track of time. It is over 60,000 square feet across two floors, with about 350 employees. In the building, you will see the beauty products aisle, and then the accessories section. Next, you’ll find women’s wear and then men’s wear. The children’s section is also exciting, making the entire family experience complete.
The Middle East mall reality was clearly not forgotten. You go in for one thing and come out pulling extra bags because everything is arranged in a way that tempts you at every turn.
Primark is coming to Dubai next. Three Dubai stores have already been confirmed for the first half of 2026. This may just be the right time to send in your application to
Primark Dubai if you want to work with the brand.
