SCARF RINGS
To the person who invented the scarf ring, I just want to say… kudos!!!
Actually, scarf rings have evolved from early forms of rings, buckles, and fasteners used in ancient clothing and military gear. The concept of using a buckle to secure a scarf developed naturally as scarves and fastening devices became more common throughout history.
Scarf buckles, scarf rings, scarf brooches—many names for the same thing. They help you enhance both corporate and casual wear in a captivating way. They’re such a fun way to look interesting and elegant.
Indeed, they say “we never stop learning.” Perhaps the 3-looped scarf ring is a recent invention—or has it always been around? How come I didn’t know about it until recently??? Of course, I always knew you could accessorize a scarf, but I didn’t know there was a particular 3-looped scarf ring that could create so many interesting looks.
Scarf rings are so easy to use, budget-friendly, and a creative way to add a bit of flair to corporate and casual outfits. Unless… um… you’re considering getting a customized 24-carat gold one? Which I am seriously considering… lol.
Good news: there are really cute and affordable ones in many online stores. While researching, I even saw some on Shein and Temu. I didn’t realize they would be so easy to find. Now here’s where it gets even more interesting—you can use a normal ring to achieve the same look! Just make sure it has more than one loop for the scarf to pass through.
So, I stopped by a vintage store and guess what? I found some regular rings with multiple loops similar to a scarf ring. You could start by exploring your own ring collection at home to see what you can find. Or you can order a scarf ring online, visit a vintage store, or even a regular fashion accessory store to find one with enough space for your scarf to pass through. I would suggest taking your scarf along and trying it with the ring before you pay—though this only applies when you’re improvising with regular rings. With the normal 3-looped scarf rings, you don’t have to worry; your scarf will fit perfectly.
With the vintage ring I got, I made a really beautiful scarf knot out of it. Guys, it worked!
Scarves are such fun, versatile accessories to play with, and they bring elegance and intentionality to both corporate and casual looks. Feel free to send me an email and let me know if this hack worked for you too.
